Hi, I’m Miriam Ninmann (She/Her), I help couples find each other again when life has gotten in the way.
I enjoy working with couples who are:
Feeling disconnected or like they’ve grown apart
Stuck in the same arguments over and over
Wanting to improve communication and better understand one another
Navigating life transitions, including becoming empty-nesters, new parents, or just beginning their journey together
Looking to strengthen an already good relationship
Seeking faith-informed counseling from a Christian perspective
Relationships are one of the most meaningful parts of our lives, but they aren’t always easy. When communication breaks down or life pulls you in different directions, it’s easy to feel more like roommates than partners. I believe that when a relationship becomes healthier, the positive impact often reaches every other area of life.
As a Gottman Level 1 trained therapist, I use the Gottman Method with every couple I work with. My approach is collaborative, practical, and engaging. Rather than letting couples replay the same arguments in session, I’ll often slow the conversation down and interrupt the patterns that keep them stuck. Together, we’ll look at what’s happening in real time to build new ways of communicating.
I want every couple to leave my office feeling a little more hopeful than when they walked in—with the reassurance that there really is light at the end of the tunnel.
My approach includes:
Gottman Method Couples Therapy
Narrative Therapy
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Collaborative and strengths-based care
Practical tools you can use outside of session
